Training & Experiences
My training at the University of Tennessee and the Pennsylvania Hospital provided me with extensive experience in psychotherapy, psychological assessment, interdisciplinary medical consultation, community mental health care, crisis evaluation, and inpatient psychiatric intervention. I also obtained specialized training in the areas of couples therapy, the use of clinical hypnosis, clinical supervision, and pre-surgical psychological screenings.
Prior to opening my private practice, I served as the Assistant Director of the Behavioral Health Outpatient Clinic and Junior Psychology Attending of the Inpatient Psychiatry Unit at the Pennsylvania Hospital. Additionally, during my time at Pennsylvania Hospital, I developed a sub-specialty in working with medically-ill patients and their family members through a partnership with the Abramson Cancer Center.
